Isabella Hund’s gallery for contempor- ary jewellery and her workshop have existed in the centre of Munich close to the Frauenkirche since 1997.
The sales area was designed by the architects Landau+Kindelbacher in cooperation with Lene Jünger as interior designer. Minimalism and transparency is what the gallery owner requested from this team of architects as defining features: suspended glass showcases provide an unimpeded view of the jewellery and the space. The gallery is unpretentious and clear-cut, modern and unfussy. Looking at it, Mies van der Rohe’s motto “less is more” comes to mind. Isabella Hund only exhibits high-quality contemporary jewellery made by more than 50 outstanding jewellery artists and designers from Germany and abroad. The works of avant-garde jewellery designers are exhibited on a regular basis.
